Doing product visualization at Nike, the product is almost certainly presented brand new, with no imperfections. As a personal project I wanted to show a beautiful set of renders highlighting imperfection. Sneakers do not stay new forever, and I really enjoyed this exploration.
Materials, scene, lighting and rendering by me.
Moving into the rendering stage I wanted to line up some non-standard shots. Coming from an architecture education I've always enjoyed renderings that feel monumental.
I've always toyed with the idea of using reflection to show multiple angles of a product in one shot. This shot was meant to be more of a background image, adding to the story rather than communicating any design aspect, hence how far the camera is positioned from the product.
Please enjoy this 360p video until I get the high quality version uploaded.
